This week the children have been busy writing character descriptions of Grandma from George’s Marvellous Medicine. The children started off by planning their ideas using a ‘Writer’s Toolkit’, where they thought about similes, 2A sentences, alliteration and other exciting features to include. On Wednesday, the children wrote their character descriptions and then on Thursday they redrafted part of it to improve it and make it even better.
The final job was to write up the character descriptions in best, with a little illustration of Grandma. Have a look and see what you think, we are really proud of how hard the children have worked on this writing!
